Wastewater Treatment
Cleaning wastewater is a major concern in Germany nowadays. Industrial wastewater cleaning and the treatment of dirty water in sewage farms are of increasing importance. Quality and capacity of cleaning methods are decisive. Wastewater treatment methods are subject to constant development and their efficacy is constantly improving.
We supply innovative wastewater treatment plant. We use the additives below.
Hydrated Lime
Neutralisation
Biological treatment makes wastewater acidic and needs an alkaline neutralisation medium to adjust its pH value. Lime is the most economical.
Sludge Stabilisation
Slaking lime dehydrates it so watery sludge solidifies and the overall volume is reduced whilst physical characteristics are improved (sludge angle of repose).
Sludge Hygienization
The reaction energy generated by slaking lime ensures bacteria in the sludge are killed and odour and disease germs reduced.
Chemical Precipitation
Chemical precipitation converts dissolved substances in water into insoluble compounds when suitable chemicals are added. This allows metal compounds and inorganic salts to be removed from the wastewater.
Alkalisation using lime milk as a preliminary step to ammoniac stripping
One of the ways of recovering ammonia from acidic waste water is the stripping process. Lime milk is required in order to raise the pH value to approx. 11.
Powdered Activated Carbon
Removing Colours
Industrial wastewater, particularly from the textiles industry, often contains dissolved colour particles that can be removed with adsorption media such as powdered activated carbon.
Elimination of Traces of Substances
Powdered activated carbon can be used to remove medical residue during waste water treatment due to its high specific surface. Its use in sewage farms is becoming ever more important as the fourth cleaning stage acquires greater significance.
