A+H Anlagenbau – Wasserwerk Glüder, Solingen, Germany

New construction of a powdered activated carbon dosing system as a silo skirt and gravimetric dosing and suspension tank

The Glüder waterworks belongs to Stadtwerke Solingen and provides around half of Solingen's drinking water. This is between 5.5 and 6 million m3 per year. On behalf of A+H Anlagenbau, SCHAUB Umwelttechnik built a new powder activated carbon dosing plant there as a silo with skirt support.

Characteristics and special features:

  • Haverie systems on a waterworks
  • Silo skirt system with the complete weighing and dosing unit in the skirt
  • Suspension tank with two progressive cavity pumps as dosing pumps
  • PAC dosing capacity: 2 - 20 kg/h
