Dr Schneck, Langenau: "The Zweckverband Landeswasserversorgung Baden-Württemberg operates two waterworks in Langenau and Dischingen. Two lime slaking plants based on Wallace&Tiernan paste extinguishers have been in operation at both sites for a very long time to treat the raw water. Due to their advanced age and the fact that spare parts were no longer available, both systems had to be overhauled and the process technology redesigned. SCHAUB successfully modernised both systems and converted them to the gravimetric container slaking process."
